Don't think about it too much, just keep having fun, and keep practicing. It doesn't matter what mode or major or minor as long as it sounds good. While I am sure they exist, its only a slight minority that would notice or even care that you played a note from a minor scale in a song in a major key unless it was just WAY out of place...
