This is something Alain might enjoy having a look at. The multifaceted talents in this group are mind-blowing to say the least. He should have a look a Ceri's build thread. :?:

Ah, ZZDoc I've got just the thing and more in here by now:

The Nutter's Build Thread Listing

( bluntly copied and saved to HD your link, Andy; 'twas a pain finding the thread every time. :( )

Awesomejohn, in the above link I attempted to gather links to all the build threads that have been on this board in the past that I could get a hold of. It is a kind of directory thread. :) ZZDoc mentioned Ceri's build and that is in there too, among other great builds.
check it out ;)

-Nutter

BTW: A shame the Blue Badger's out prowling the grounds and can't witness this awesomeness, eh? What a surprise when he gets back! :)

Wow! There's a one-up on Brad for sure. There might be other issues which could be grouped or categorized into one link for reference. Would certainly help with handling inquries on something we have already beaten into submission.

Awesome

I have a few PDF files on amp design. 2 el34, class A shouldn't be that hard. It's all the preamp controls that present the dificulty. I have been thinking about a Dumble clone. That may be well worth your attention. I just want to see why everyone goes mad for em.
http://www.schematicheaven.com/dumble.htm

If you want to email me at nikininja@ntlworld.com

I'll gladly share the pdf files with you.

Brother 2 years ago I purchased two Groove Tubes soul-o 75 amps and one suol-o 50... They are sitting in my friend home in the USA waiting for me. Those babies work in A class and AB class and a third vox like growly A class, with three of those babies running at once I'll use a bunch of different tubes like my favorite 5881's on one of them, and use EL34s on the second and 6550's on the third.. I'll set two of the up for A class and one for AB class... make a nice switcher to run them with midi switching ... then run a a good digital effects through the effects loop of of the 5881 A Class amp, run a wampler distortion pedal on the El34 AB class amp's effects loop and leave the 6550 amp totally dry... That ought to be as big as any babe can handle 8) ....

I'll just remove the guts from the amps and put them all in racks to save space.. then use three 2X12 marshall 1936 cabs stacked on top of each other .. that ought to look mysterious enough  ...
I will not pay 4k for any amp thats ridiculous... the soul-o 75 amps cost me 1200 each ( in mint condition) and they are well worth it I paid only 900 for the soul-50 so I am set for amps why I still look I dont know...

I guess just being a gear $@!$ I always lust other amps like a total imbecile because I see it on youtube and get all aroused. So I will build a rack system using three amps and a special switching system...

Enough already I have been beating my brains out surfing the net trying to find "the amp" only the see that every amp I seem to like costs over 4k... later for that BS....

I will create an alternative genre of rack ..... get creative and feel it out...
I have to stop spending 12 hours a day on the net searching for an amp.... I divorced one good woman already because of this BS, the present one is a angel and I dont want to lose her too... okey then... the decision is made... I'm going with my groove tubes Soul-o amps.. all three of them at once... 8)

I friend of mine used to demo GrooveTube amps around Europe. He had Soul'o heads. They were fantastic amps for sure. He'd plug his 335 straight into it and there was no sound he couldnt reasonably duplicate.

Myself I'm a Marshall man when it comes to amps. I love the 1936 cabs.

Awesome is correct!
Welcome.
It is obvious that you have spent considerable time with the guitar.
And debunked the myth that only long skinny fingers are suitable to the guitar.......
