I'm going to see Rain, the Beatles Tribute today. Anyone else on here seen it? I've heard it's great.

Sweet, I seen part of their show on PBS and I would see them, not even a big Beatles fan but it seems like it would be a great show. Apparently they follow the timeline with each period. I'm sure you'll enjoy...

It was amazing! The attention to detail was off the charts, along with the singing and musicianship. Each singer sounded just like the Beatle they were portraying. The George character even flubbed notes on his solo's during the Ed Sullivan parts! At times, you forgot you were listening a live band, it was just so good. They play everything live and use a fifth musician to do the strings and horn parts as well as all sorts of other sounds the Beatles put on tape. The Paul character even learned to play bass left handed for the part! When he played guitar he switched back to his right hand. Of course they used all the correct instuments including some that they hardly ever played outside the studio. The George and John characters would play a Fender VI when Paul moved to piano for "Hey Jude" and "Let it Be". If you're a Beatles fan, go see this show. :D

I saw Rain on a PBS Special and I was blown away to the attention to detail in everything from the instruments to the guitar, bass and drum parts. The George character absolutely nailed Clapton's While My Guitar Gently Weeps solo note for note ,he captured every little nuance of Eric's break-just brilliant, just to hear him do that would be worth the price of admission for me.I'm not one who goes for note for note copying but in some cases it's necessary and this is one of these cases. I read somewhere that one or two members of Rain were with the original Beatlemania Show that toured years ago,I don't know if that's the case because these guys don't look old enough to have done that gig that long ago.Either way these guys are the epitome of Beatles tribute bands for sure.

I gotta check if they're coming to NY. Havent seen a show in a long time but I'd go see those guys. You're right, judging from PBS, the George guy alone is worth seeing.
