Although I agree with signatures being overdone I would realy love a Robbie Robertson sig. Maybe something that looks like the strat he played in the Last Waltz. The one he had bronzed, and moved the middle pickup down to the bridge on. :)

I second that.

I definitly think Bruce Springsteen.

An esquire neck with a tele body.

I dont think he would put his name to it though, he is very very cautious about how he lets his name be used, I imagine.

Albert Lee. He sounded so much better on the Strat Pack than he did with his Music Man at Crossroads 2007.

I still find it funny. Someone gets famous playing, lets say an American Deluxe. Then they make an artists model with that persons sig on it. They charge more for it then the Am. Deluxe that made the person famous in the first place. Why not just buy an Am. Deluxe? Thats that dudes sound right there.

Im a way i agree.But there are people that like the 50s style strat and they want a newer version of that model.look at clapton and eric johnson.The one signature strat that i believe that improves on the design is the eric johnson strat.That is an awsome guitar.

That's pretty much the market for guitars built for somebody else which have their price elevated 300% because the somebody else has a decal on it with what is likely to bear no resemblance to their actual signature.

Be like Justice: go into the guitar store blind and buy what feels and sounds right for YOU. Then put your own signature on it. Maybe someday Zippy there will pay you good money for it.

You're right, I love my EJ. Not because it's Eric's model, but because it's the finest damn strat I've ever played. Heck, I'm not even an EJ fan. I'd have bought it without the signature. I do dig the Kokopeli on the neck plate.

On a more serious note;
Andy Fairweather-Low has a very unique Strat, set up with two Mini Humbuckers in the Bridge and Middle position.

I can understand Liking Signature Guitars, and I can understand Indifference to Signature Guitars. But I don't understand Dislike for Signature guitars. They're neat, what else do they have to be?
