alright- i'm sure i'm not the only one ont this forum who goes on ebay. i'm interested in 2 things:

what item did you sell that got more money than you thought?

and

what item did you buy that you got a better price than you thought?

i'm not talking small items like picks, cords or straps, but something a little bit pricier.

i'll start out. when my folks were moving, they found a box of guitar stuff sitting in my old room for 30 plus years. a lot of cords, picks, and a nu-tone fuzz, along with a nu-tone wah. the fuzz worked, the wah didn't. i got 10 times what i paid for the fuzz, and twice what i paid for the wah. bingo-instant gear money

I sold a 1972 Guild M65 Freshman 3/4 for $1100 after paying only $800 for it. I sold a 1982 AVRI Fullerton Strat my friend for $2500 after it had been listed for only 3 mintues.

I got a better deal than I thought on the Daphne Blue HWY 1 Strat i bought new old stock for $500. I also got a great deal on my Guild D25, $475 mint condition, the price wasn't so much a deal even though I got it for about 50-100 less than usual, but it is a workhorse of an acoustic.
