Hello:

I have a book for practicing scales but want another book that has actual good melody examples in music notation and tab for how the scales sound when they are used to play a tune that is well suited to the scale.

Do you know of such a book that you can recommend to me?

Thanks.

Look up Jamey Aebersold & David Baker if you like improv.

I think Hal Leonard or somebody had a book or pamplet out some time back like you are describing.
Or it may have been a chapter in some other book.I can't remember.
It's hell getting old.
