Professional musician. I gig regularly with several local rock and blues bands but I am committed to one band perticular and I teach 46 students per week. Also, I have a recording studio which has been busy with new artists lately.

When I was a kid I thought it would be the coolest thing ever if I could earn a living with my guitar. It seems I am truly blessed.

Join the crowd....it's a tough life....you can have all the talent there is and then watch somebody who barely knows three chords become a superstar.

I'm a Hobbyist per your definition. However, in my circles, it seems that there is a lot more money to be made servicing instruments rather than gigging with them. YMMV.

Hobbyists at the moment. However recently I formed a band with some friends. We're hoping to go semi professional and get some good reputation locally

I guess I'm a weekend warrior. I play for fun, but I also play live in a youth praise band every Wednesday (so of course I'm not getting paid lol).

Of course I'd really rather not have it any other way. I'm pretty darn happy, even if I do royally suck. :P

well, you dont need to be a clapton to become a musician, you just gotta know what to do and where to go. i for instance write 4 power chord songs that are rapidly strummed and if i go to the right record producer, if i know what to do, then maybe i might have a chance.

I picked Hobbiest. I have a full time work schedue, but play as often as I can. Finding a band is a little dificult for me because I work all the time and cannot spend the day time practicing. I have weekends and evenings off.
