To not exist God sure does get a lot of press.

I feel the presence of God in my life. Part of faith is learning how to sense God, like learning to see something you could not see before. I also feel it when I am not receptive, its like I'm out of balance. I harbor no ill will toward anyone who does not believe. As long as you are following Gods plan for you, it may not matter in the end. I don't know of course. It does bother me when people act as if I'm stupid or not enlightened because I believe. Most of the greatest minds this world has ever seen were religious, so I'm in pretty good company.

Matt, you're right some of the greatest thinkers in the world were believers in God or a supreme benevolent entity who was the creator of all. A lot of former atheists converted to Christianity or belief in God after being delivered from horrendous circumstances.A famous example of this is that of athiest slave trader John Knox who encountered an incredibly intense storm that threatened to sink his ship that was carrying hundreds of slaves to the Americas.Knox got on his knees and implored the God that he hadn't believed in to spare him and the people on the ship. He then had an epiphany and saw the ere of his ways and knew that God would only save him if he renounced his former life-which he did.He then sat down and wrote one of the greatest and most famous of hymns- Amazing Grace.

Thats not really proving anything though bro. Mickey Mouse and Lyndsy Lohan get a lot of press too but I get your point.

Are you implying that Mickey Mouse and Lyndsy Lohan don't exist? :)

I was just playing when I wrote that part. I did not intend to offer that as any kind of proof.

i didnt see it bro.
its all on the way its done and the peoples reply.
just go with it here bro.
i was suprised for a while myself then i realized that everybody was conducting themselves as adults and with respect towards oneanother.
this is the only forum where ive seen this topic go the way it has.
(good job guys) im sure that the powers to be over the forum have spent a good bit of time with their finger on the block button waiting.
again we show what makes this forum above the rest.

When I read through this I thought cool.... no one gett'in all bent out of shape and being unkind....I think this is the way it should be as every one has the "right" to believe or not believe according to the dictate of his or her own conscience. :D

I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
I believe He is the Son of God.
I believe He is the only way to the Father.
I know other people may disagree.
But that's what I believe.
