The question asked requires a one word (or three word) answer. it does not require any explanation or justification of your view.

Best way to avoid an argument.

Ah, good. We could use a nice non-controversial topic around here. What could go wrong?

I don't see how asking for a 'yes', 'no' or 'undecided' as being controversial. If people want to comment then that's up to them.

I for one am not going to discuss my religious beliefs here, but I feel there are too many things in life to leave to chance. I have alway felt something guiding me along, pushing me in directions I need to go.

Firm believer that there is a creator of all things,a higher power that we could never comprehend in this life.I read a book a while back called The Third Man Factor by John Geiger-it contains true life stories of people who were facing almost certain death but felt a presence that was a comfort to them and was so real that it was almost tangable and this presence guided them out of danger-it certainly makes you think that there very well could be a benevolent force that is with us at all times.

Not trying to start a fight, but interesting thing I've noticed.

16 Votes Yes,

9 Votes no.

9 Posts in this thread stating Yes I believe (with or without explanation)

0 Posts in this thread stating No I Don't.

It intrigues me that people feel the need to vocalize their belief, while those that dont believe feel no need to vocalize the fact that they dont. It seems many people that practice organized religion feel the need to vocally reaffirm their beliefs in public, while a much fewer amount, that don't believe, don't feel the need to go around telling everyone they're a non-believer.

Religion by its very nature is an extremely personal relationship between someone and their god.... why do you want to make something so personal so public for everyone to see ?

i voted undecided, but i really DO believe in a God.... i just dont follow any organized religion.. why? well, i was raised Catholic as my whole family is Catholic. now at first i had no problem with it, but that was because there were A LOT of things i didnt understand yet... now i realize that Catholicism has quite a few beliefs that are contradictory to my own and that i would even call completely ignorant (the intense homophobia, the fact that 90% of them deny things that are scientific FACT, the belief that using birth control is a sin, etc.).

if you were offended by ANYTHING in that post, please, just keep it to yourself, because that IS what i believe, you ARE NOT going to change it by starting a flame war, and i dont want to send the whole topic down the pooper.
