"Little Wing" is definitely my favorite Hendrix track and probably my favorite song of all time (if I really had to pick).
As a matter of fact, the entire Axis - Bold As Love album is quite a masterpiece; sort of the "overlooked" Hendrix album because it is not really chock full of radio "hits" and I think that a lot of the songs did not become part of his on-stage repertoire.
I also love a lot of his later stuff, the Band of Gypsies and the things he was working on toward the end of his life. I think that material shows Jimi's true essence, as compared with the more pop material (not to slam that in any way).

Aside from my views on the posthumously released Hendrix tracks my favourite track is Drifting.
My favourite album is Are You Experienced. The others are just psychedelic nonsense or money grabbing accountant inspired releases.
I quite like the BBC sessions too. Hendrix live but without the hangups that plagued a lot of his live stuff.

dang I dont know how I forgot Drifting!!!

Wind Cries Mary. Why? Because it's the best.

Cheers - C

Have You Ever Been ( to Electric Ladyland ) ? - Jimi's singing is so full of soul and those majestic guitars !!! ( Noel & Mitch sing great too )

Axis: Bold as Love - again Jimi's singing is perfect for the song and the guitar playing again is incredible.

Voodoo Chile off Hendrix in the West : the DEFINITIVE version imho of this song. The soloes are out of this world - spacey, bluesy, soulful, hard edged, those strings being stretched and bent and then the ending where he blasts some funky chords to Mitch's drums ..... WOW !!!!

My favorite depends on the day and my mood. Hard to choose. Today it's "The Wind Cries Mary". I like playing the guitar parts (can't do too many of Jimi's songs).

My favorite album, was his last. Released after he died in 1970. "Rainbow Bridge Soundtrack" Favorite song on that album is "Hey Baby" the theme song to the movie. There is instrumental tune that came out on that album called "Pali Gap". "Hey Baby" has an intro that builds up nicely to the main riff, and "Pali Gap" is just a really cool slow blues instrumental. There are a lot if people that don't consider this a good album from Hendrix, but I beg to differ. All one has to do is listen to it, but good luck finding it. I don't think it has ever been re-released on CD, and it took me 15years to find it in a used bin at a recoerd store.
