Folks:

It's soooooooooooooo time for us to go ahead and wrap up our Forum T-shirt Photo Contest which has been running for two years at this point. In that time we've seen some truly great submissions and, although I never did actually sell all of the shirts that were manufactured (in fact, I have a giant box stuffed to the brim with 'em), I'm still really looking forward to awarding the prize!!

Anyway ... I've gathered all of the entries that were received onto the following page which we'll used for voting; before I open up the actual voting process, this is a LAST CALL to go ahead and submit and/or delete your final photos:

T-Shirt Contest Voting Page

If you want to add more photos or delete existing ones, you can make your edits directly on the original contest thread — i.e., the page above 'automatically' builds itself based on the content from that thread.

Any questions? Feel free to ask here.

How I can I get one of the shirts? I showed up a little late to the party but was looking for a Fender lounge shirt last night in the online store. Still have any XL or XXL left?

Guys: contact me offline at ForumAdmin@fender.com and I can hook you up with the purchase details. Naturally by the time you get your shirts this photo contest will have already ended but ... they're still very cool shirts nonetheless. :-)

Here's a dilemma: for the fun of taking part I put some time into photos on that thread and so don't want to delete them.

But I also don't want to be voted for, please (just in case anyone thought of doing so). I have already been a winner in a past Forum competition and so should be automatically disqualified from others. Only fair.

Is that all right, folks...? :)

Cheers - C

Nah, leave 'em in and may the best man win. Personally I can't possibly vote for any picture that doesn't feature a pretty girl (or Fender signature artist John 5). 8)

Yep - on that, it should be pointed out that Snowy's friend Janie - short red tartan skirt; yes, you remember - is neither wearing a Forum T-shirt nor I believe a registered user here.

Just thought I'd point that out.

And if you're looking in, Janie... hi! :D

Cheers - C

Ah, you obviously missed the short-skirt exemption clause in the fine print. Which is a shame, because you would have been a cinch to win if you had shown a little leg.

Let the picks fall where they may :P

If you sent in a picture, you're entered

May the best one win.

Gil, who expects nothing, just let it happen 8)

Hey Brad, thanks again for putting on the T-shirt contest. As one of the instigators of this contest, I was happy to see the level of participation and the lengths to which our forumites would go to get some great photos. Ours is truly a global community and our shirts have traveled the world!

BTW, just because the contest is coming to an end, that doesn't mean we need to stop with the photos. Especially anyone just getting a shirt, keep on posting!

No need to delete photos - I came up with this somewhat overkill voting mechanism that will ensure equality and fairness for all regardless of number of photos submitted. Guess that math degree is finally being put to good use - LOL! Way back when when the limitation on photos was introduced I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to handle the voting part so the photo limit truthfully was more of a "CYA" on my part just in the side chance that I'd have to end up manually building the voting page by hand. Ended up writing an automated script to both build the voting page and process the results,, something which I'll keep on hand in case we want to do something like this again in the future.

For those who have inquired about shirts, thanks. Busy week but I'll get to your inquiries as soon as I can!
