With my hands slowly on the mend that little urge to get gigging again is growing daily. When my mitts get fully recovered I hope to form a band playing nothing but British Invasion era music.I'd like to do a set each of Beatles,Troggs,Who,a set of mixed groups like Billy J. Kramer,D.C. 5, Animals, Gerry and the Pacemakers etc. and of course a set of Hendrix. Around here nobody is playing that sort of stuff and I think that it would fill a nook that no one else is in.It seems that everybody and their dog around here is playing Irish/Newfoundland/Celtic music and I want to bring good old rock back into the swing of things as a lot of people have reached their saturation point as far as traditional music goes. So what do you think,do you think that it would take off or go over like a fart in church?

If no one else is doing it, theres likely a market for it. Accurately targeting your market audience is one of the most important things you'll ever do.

I haven't gigged in two weeks and in truth, I think I'd take a dep job in a boyzone tribute band at the moment.

Just get out and do it mate, don't rush the hand though. You don't want to undo months of rehab.

Sounds good to me guitslinger, nothing worse than going out to see a band and finding its the same set they played last week and the week before, especially if all the bands are playing the same style, tends to get a tad boring, go for it I say.

Most important, don't push the hands to quick.

What happened? How long have you been unable to play?
