I play along when im working out my parts of songs our band wont's to play. IMO it realy helps.

Anyone tried this box for jamming?

seems pretty useful, I know forum member Chanman puts it to great use, and I've tried one at Musik Messe in Frankfurt but the surrounding noise in the hall was just too loud, even with headphones, I couldn't hear a thing. But basically the software apparently filteres out the original the guitar of any recording so you can step in and do the part.

Any first-hand experience here?

I'd say 90% of learning to play came from playing along my Blues albums. The other 10% came from an instructor who taught me the basics for about a couple months.

definitely yes, it helps with learning other peoples songs, can you say "Tribute Band" (or is it cover band?)
