I have listened hundreds of times to every track of the original ABB I have gotten my hands on since 1969. 8) there's not a note on any of them that I've missed.

You might be interested in these CD's from the ABB web site. I have the SUNY disc, and the quality is marginal to excellent. However, if you are a big ABB fan, this has one of the only live recorded versions of Blue Sky (I believe that there may only be 3 bootlegs). You can hear them working out the structure that eventually would wind up in one take on the record. The ABB went in the studio just after this SUNY performance and put Blue Sky for the ages on Eat a Peach, September 1971. Duane Allman was dead October 29, 1971. Blue Sky is my favorite song of all time.

Yeah,I've got those from Hittin' the Note, and I used to get a bunch of the ones the "peach heads" trade around with, the bootlegs, almost all of those I have are on cassette tapes,a few on CD,and yep, some are really poor quality, they were audience tapes, and suffer from multi generation copies.
That's why the best bets are the ones you can buy at HTN.
Blue Sky is one of my favorites also,Dickey wrote it for a Native American wife at the time, named Blue Sky.....but in the last few years he says it's a great song about just being out in nature, and everytime I "walk along the river",I think about that song.
