Found this on Notalwaysright.com:

Either That, Or Like Eeyore
Recording Studio | St. Louis, MO, USA
(I’m recording a group of 15 year-old rappers.)

Me: “Do you like the way that sounds?”

Rapper: “Yo, can you make me sound like, um… like a maaaaan?”

Me: “Um… I’m not really sure I know what you mean.”

Rapper: “Like, I wanna sound like a big man, ya know?”

Me: “Hrm. Okay, let’s try this…” *I lower the pitch of his vocals a bit* …”like that?”

Rapper: “Yeah! Perfect, now I sound all strong!”

the industry will never be right until rap music and its azzclowns start to drop in popularity, and our daughters stop thinking its cool or the "in thing" to date the local thug or the local dope dealer.

"Rap" is certainly not music. Rather, it is just ranting over background banging and other nondescript noises.

When they named rap their biggest mistake was leaving the C off the beginning of it.

in the past, rap has taken rock awards at the award show.
how can that happen? now i must say, back in the 80s when rap was forming it was pretty cool. they actually had something to say and it wasnt about dope, biotches, guns, how much money they have or havent etc etc.
it was fresh and new. now its went somewhere i dont think anybody expected it to go. everybody trying to ge their 5minutes of fame and out of the hood. its funny because very very few rap stars can ever stay on top for any length of time. 90% end up broke again or at the very best
hood rich.

At the risk of sounding like my parents, "All that noise sounds the same!"

+1, but that goes for human civilization and society as well as the music industry also

Rap gets such a bad rap. That was the worst joke I've ever told in my life, see what rap can do to people? <_<
