Hello everyone, I recently bought my Fender Frontman 212R. I'm really happy about it untill I tried to record with it. I pluged the Pre Out into my computer using cubase, I made sure and double checked 10 times that the input and everything was correct but no sound comes out of my Pre Out output. I tried to plug headphones in nothing came out either. And when I try to input audio through it it comes out of one of back of the amp but with a really muffled soud. Am I doing something wrong? Do I Have to do something other then just pluging the Pre out into the computer through minijack? Please help me beacause I only have 2 more days to send it back in case of problem :) Thanks already!!!

What are you using to convert the signal to digital?

i.e. audio interface / usb mixer / audiophile soundcard

That might be the missing link?

I'm on my way out, but this might help some :

* I just googled the amp you have - - that's for the effects loop! I think you'll need to mic the amp or use a direct box. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the article!!!

My problem must be that the Pre Out doesn't send a digital signal. I was using another amp before that used to send directly a Digital signal so I didn't need any usb soundcards.

What I was doing is I had a Jack adapter connected directly from the Pre Out to my Audio In min jack input on my PC, now what you are saying if I'm correct is that I have to transform the signal to a digital signal. Now is pretty much any soundcard going to do the trick'?

* On the instruction booklet it says: Recording: Connect PRE OUT to sound equipment's input. Both Jacks use a TS (Tip-Sleeve) standard type plug for connections. PRE OUT includes onboard tone shaping.

My english isn't that good, but it means I should be able to record directly from this PRE OUT canal wouldn't it?

Thanks a lot for the advices!
