That's good to hear. So It's a good guitar, well made and sounds good? That's all I need to know. Did you try before you bought it?

Just found this demo

Yes, I did try before I bought. The Guitar Center in Scottsdale, AZ had just received and set up the Blacktops when I walked in the door a week ago. There were three Strats, two Teles and a Jazzmaster and I had the first chance to play them. The Sonic Blue Strat said "buy me" the loudest. The Candy Apple Red Strat also sold the first day.

The Teles played and sounded good too but I already have a '72 Thinline Reissue with two humbuckers.

Just came back from Cranes in Cardiff and this is what I got up to...Walked in and there were not one but three Fender Jaguars on display. A black Blacktop series, a black HH Special and a sunburst Classic Player. After about an hour feeling the necks and giving them all a good examination I deciced to try the Blacktop. It felt GREAT!!! The neck was smooth and the set up was spot on. These guitars are very well made, well this one was at least. Now if you are looking for that classic Jaguar sond you're not gonna get it here. But if you want a beautifull looking guitar with humbuckers then this is perfect. I really like this guitar but I don't need another humbucker guitar. I therefore tried out the Classic player with 2 single coils. Now this is about £170 dearer but for me it was the one I would have chosen, simp;y because it had the classic swichcing and single coils. So to sum it all up Fender Jaguars are all GREAT, it jsut depends on you r own personal taste.

Hope this is of some help to those of you GASing for a Jag and don't know which one to get. My advice, go try some out and see for yourself. I am now saving up for the Classic Player myself.
