They just sent me the final mixes of the two songs I recorded in the studio earlier this month! They both sound really good, I'm having trouble believing I actually played on them.

It's funny, they must have changed my tone a little. It sounds more like Eric Clapton, really blunt and midrangey. It sounds more true to the real thing through headphones than it does through my computer speakers though. And it's not bad, just not what I expected it to be. I thought the treble would be more pronounced.

I wish I could let y'all hear them now, but I have to wait until the album is released. We still have two more songs to record but we're hoping to get it out by this November since we're playing at the House of Blues and we want to have the CD ready for that. It'll be on iTunes too, so everyone will get a shot at it. :D

Good for you TGS,I'll certainly be buying a copy when it's released. Great to hear that you captured some of that Clapton magic.

Yep, here you go. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cari+quoyeser&aq=0

I'm on the videos that were uploaded two months ago, not the older ones. I'm more of a blues person, but everything I do in blues works in rock too. :D

The two songs we recorded were Sydney and Better Days.

Nice!! I can tell you it's one of the greatest feelings to listen to one of your tracks on a final product. This is just the beginning. You'll eventually listen to them over and over. Sometimes I listen to the solos I did on our album and say the same thing. The solos for Recession and Jah Soldier were written the night before recording them, and now they've been captured in time. You can learn what you like about them, what you might have done differently, etc.. But either way it's a captured time-piece that you will always be able to be proud of. It's a great feeling, a great experience, and I'm happy for you. Can't wait to hear it myself.

Maybe someday, but right now we're just doing shows around Texas. :)

Sounds great TGS. I'd like to see you step up (into the spotlight) with more volume and stand out some more. Showcase your fine picking!! 8)

I know that the singer is probably the band leader but she should be alright with you having a little front time when playing your licks.

Well, it turns out y'all don't have to wait for the album comes out after all! I just checked the band's reverbnation site and they've already uploaded the songs there. :D

The two songs that I played on are Better Days and Sydney. I played lead and some rhythm on Better Days and lead/slide on Sydney. Be sure and listen to them a million times and hit the like button so that we can move up on the charts. lol Here's the link to it, http://www.reverbnation.com/#/cariquoyeser

Thanks for the link Cari, I find your songs to be in the same vein as Sheryl Crow. (I mean this as a complement) and of the songs on the play list I like the song 10 little words best.

If I may make a suggestion....

A nice little strat blues-e solo at the end of the third verse would be really cool.

Just a thought.
