I finally got around to putting the proper pickup bezels on my 66 Tennessean after having the parts in the case for the best part of a year. The guitar was restored before I bought it in '77 but never had the proper bezels and instead had El Cheapo chrome ones.I bought the replacements and the proper compression foam from T.V. Jones and they are dead on replicas of the original ones. The guitar's finish was also changed from the regular transparent burgundy to gloss black. The chrome bezels have rubbed away some of the finish and for now I just have them covered with black marker I will do a spray touch up some other day when I'm a bit more energetic.I still have to remove the bridge pup and put in another layer of compression foam as the pups aren't sitting as high as I would like. Maybe tomorrow I'll get at that part of it.I love tinkering with guitars but just to get them back to fresh from factory condition-no mods.I haven't done any of my own work on my guitars for ages,it feels good to get back into the swing of things.
