I was looking at a guitar with a trem and two humbuckers for a more sonic tone for leads. I was looking at a J5 Triple Tele Deluxe as I have his first sig guitar and love it, I prefer the Jim Root model but it has no trem.

Anyway the Jaguar Classic Player caught my eye too, it has a C shape neck which I love playing. Was wondering if anyone could give me any feedback on them.
I.e are they are a good all round guitar for playing metal, shredding, rock, country, blues, experimental?
Is the trem system good? how does it compare to a strat? Does the trem take a long time to settle if you change tunings like a flloyd rose? or does it pretty much make no difference like a strat?
Can you get a decent clean tone from them as well as a good overdriven/distorted sound?
Are they value for money?

If any of you could answer any of these, it would be greatly appreciated!

'Bought a Classic Player Jaguar in January of '09, the 2-single pup config, tho.

You should probably go to the "other Fender eelectrics" forum and re-post, for real answers.

Personally, bought the Jaguar for making articulate music, nothing with distortion involved. The Vibrato is not suitable for wild "mood swings" in this opinion, more lazy-ish surfy-jazzy lounge-y stuff, at which it excels.

After a hot pro setup, the CP Jag was a superb instrument, well worth the price and an "advertisement" for replacing it with a real Jaguar. .011s with a wound 3rd work really well on one.
