is there a way to mod an ac30 so that it is only half the power? like, make an ac30 combo into basically an ac15 with 2-12" speakers while using the original head inside the combo.

i dont know enough about amps lol. i can mod any electric guitar with my eyes closed, but amps are outta my league.

I imagine that some kind of attenuator would do the trick. There are mods and plans for attenuators on the net and I've seen some talked about and links posted in the Modern Amps section.Maybe if you posted there someone with technical knowhow such as Martian could point you in the right direction.
