Keep doing what the docs tell you Riley and stick to any exercise regimin that they suggest because that's an essential part of the healing process. My chiropractor gave me exercises to do daily and I find myself going downhill fast if I forget or neglect to do them.So keep at it and you'll be riffin' in no time.

+1 jeebus, don't let your ego get in the way, if you start playing too soon you could ruin it forever, the guitar will always be there, your hands may not. Wait it out.

mine is a siatic nerve issue. maybe its the exercises hes chosen, but i just dont see how these will help.
i can see how possibily different exercises would do fantastic though.

thank you.

it was at the point it hurt to stand and play guitar, yes even a strat.
i never knew how serious siatic could be.
after going to see the doc and getting educated on the subject
im like wow. the back is an amazing thing.

for me where my spine connects to the pelvic area, a couple disks up,
my spine had slid forward, twisted, and was leaning over a bit.
i went to the first doc and got xrays done. his werent very good quality.
i didnt care for him much to be honest.

i went and got independant place to do more xrays. they showed me what they saw. i took them to another doc and he confirmed. i asked him could he fix me. he said he could help.

it was at the point when walking it seriously felt like somebody was taking a knife and stabbing/twisting in my lower spine, while another was stabbing my rt butt cheak, and then one was digging at my rt calve muscle.
walking was a chore in itself guys. i had a limp like i had a broken ankle.
all came on in 5 days.

through questions the doc and i figured something out.
im 41. back when i was 20 i got rearended by a truck while on a motorcycle. he was drunk and never hit the brakes.
we were setting still about to turn in to my girlfriends place.
get up and walk it off was my mentality back then, so i did.
hurt like hell for weeks but i healed.

3 yrs later a went to a doc because my back was killing me. through xrays he told me that i needed surgery, that somewhere along the way of life i really screwed myself up.
i told him what happened yrs earlier. i said no surgery for me.
he said i would be in a wheel chair by the time i was 40 if i didnt.
dude was so close, wonder if he plays the loto lol.
yeah right screw you. so on with life i went.

last 10 yrs about twice a yr i would get a bad lower back pain and really have to go easy for a week or so. never really put 2 and 2 together.
well, at work a couple months ago my lower back muscles
said "screw this we cant hold ya together any longer, we are tired", down the hill i went pretty fast. my doc said the back muscles are amazing.
they can keep you from knowing that your injured for yrs and sometimes decades. he said that i have an amazing spine for a 40 yr old. looks more like a teenagers spine. he said that my lower back muscles were really developed, almost overly developed if there could be such a thing, but not normal for any human hes ever worked on.

just as my chest was about to stick out from being pumped up by his words of (the way i heard it and im sticking to it lol) super human back muscles, i hear the big "BUT, THERES 1 PROBLEM........"
crushed and brought back down to earth in a split second.
the doc and i agreed to the fact i needed help fast. it had to be good quality help though. i agreed to see him twice a day for the first week.
he wanted to see differences in my back from the start of the day which is after rest and the end of the day which is after a daily load.
it wasnt good. the price was usually $35 per visit. he charged me only
$25 per day, which should have been $70. then the following week we
continued the same treatments, twice a day, but he didnt charge me 1 cent. when asked why his reply was that he was there to help people get well not to get rich. yes hes a doc and he did say that lol.

after about a week and a half 90% of my siatic (however you spell it)
issues were gone. unbelievable. hes really went out of the norm to educate me on my condition.

it amazes me why more people dont go see chiro docs.
i hear people say oh he screwed me up worse, or it didnt work for me.
i honestly dont believe that. people dont realize that they didnt get screwed up ver night so they damn sure cant be fixed over night.
then they have you to do these stupid little things your sure in your head that wont help your situation so we skip them, to our very own loss.
probably like me and my exercises above lol.
or as soon as we start to feeling better we dont go back at all.
i continue to go twice a week and only pay $25 for both visits.
funny thing is hes yet to even crack my back lol.

folks go see your local chiro doc. you need to. those of us that work long hours or do heavy lifting all day, stressed, GO SEE THE CHIRO DOC.
