Here are my 3 fenders. Nothing spectacular, but I think their great. The red one is a Mexi Deluxe Powerhouse Strat. Then the 72 Deluxe Tele and the black one is a Japanese Aerodyne with Schaller locking tuners, chrome pickguard, and 60's bridge cover.

Let me know what you think.

Great guitars! I really like and would love to have a 72 Deluxe or Custom. Currently I have an American Deluxe Ash strat that is my blues guitar. I also have an American strat that I am hot rodding with some Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. Lastly, I have a beautiful Heritage 535 in tobacco burst. Again, love the trio!!!

Nice collection. I'm partial to the Aerodyne. Very rare.

Yes, very nice collection. I like the Aerodyne too. All three are clean and shiny.

They get quite a bid of use. Especially the Red Deluxe strat. I will admit to not playing the aerodyne as much as I would like to. It's just too pretty to get scratches on it. It usually just the red strat or the deluxe tele.

It sounds really nice. I'm going to switch out the old 250K pots for the 500k pots that were used in the originals because the 250k's can sound a bit muddy at times, but it still sounds really nice. The crispness of a tele without the twang I guess. It sounds great through my Blues Junior.

I love it too. They are hard to find. Especially in black with a pickguard. They only made them for a year, maybe two with the pickguard then they made them look more like showmasters without the guard. Now the pickguards back but they don't come in black anymore. What gives.

I understand. I was just busting on you. I'm much tougher on equipment than you are.... :)

So I think one of these guitars will be leaving me. I've had a Gretsch itch of late and think I might get rid of a strat for one. Should I dump the black one, get a little more money and be stuck with the red Mexi Deluxe, or should i dump the Mexi Deluxe for a few bucks and keep the black beauty. Let me know. I can't seem to part with the black one, but I don't really find myself playing it too much these days.

He's right, it's no thinline. Just a standard 72 deluxe RI but in the special run white color.
