I am a proud new owner of a Fender Deville, and don't really know sh*#...I am getting this buzzing sound - can anyone help?

Welcome to the Forum John Heddy! Congrats on your new amp! Look in on the back panel of the amp, if there is a switch labeled "ground" flip it and the buzzing should stop.

If you are using pedals, move them farther away and to the side. The tv, fridge, computer, or any elecrical stuff going on in the room can affect things. Plug it in another room if problem persists, see if it stops.
Also standing too close with your guitar will cause a hum.

Thanks for your reply's...after further investigation I found a short in the guitar!!! with any luck, I'll have it back before Thursdays gig.
