I wonder what is the impact on the price of a vintage guitar when the electronic is not original.

Can anyone help?

in most cases significantly less than what it would be if it were 100% original. But it is hard to say without knowing what the guitar make and model it, what year, what parts have been changed.

In my case it was a Duo Sonic from 1966. All original but the pups. In very good condition. Paid 750$.

If the guitar is in otherwise nice shape and no goofy-and-irreversible routing was done to the body I don't think you got burned. It was quite common "back in the day" to replace the pickups in a Duosonic or a Mustang with Strat pickups. Today of course we see this as diminishing the value of an instrument but sonically it's probably an improvement.

Pickups are the electrical component that affects a guitar's value moreso than any other.Where pups are such a vital factor in the guitar's overall tone, replacing them greatly affects the sound and consequently the value. With the Duo Sonic and Mustang the pups were unique to these guitars and gave them their outstanding tone.Pots and switches although they can affect the value somewhat they don't have the impact on the tone that the pups have and where they are more prone to wear and tear they are replaced more often. So the value of your Duo Sonic has diminished by at least 50% because of the pickup change.
