Okay I have just joined the Forum,,I hope to pick up some knowledge from you guys..I have a couple of bits of fender gear that is malfunctioning..Like my money pit Fender Performer 1000 amp ...Anyway here's my Guitars.

A Series One Highway Strat with a Callaham block.Tweaked wiring and a butterfly string tree..Obviously changed pickguard..

American series with aged pickguard and Texas Specials and tweaked Wiring.
Also changed to a butterfly string tree.

A Japanese Edgebound tele with Original Vintage Pick ups and better electrics and Switch etc..

Image

A Squier Custom Tele with P90s..

Image

A Fender Highway,,Series 2 Tele with different saddles,,Fender Original vintage tele Pick ups Black single ply guard and butterfly string tree..

A Gibson Les Paul Standard with Bare Knuckle Mule Pick ups..

A Gibson Les Paul Classic with Coil Split Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck in bridge and Jazz in neck.

I also have a blue Mexican Classic Strat. but it needs serious attention. It has ran out of truss Rod because of humidity and always rattled after a refret I had done..I DON'T KNOW IF THE ACTUAL NECK IS TWISTED,I've had various Opinions..I REALLY LOVED THIS AXE..sob sob etc..

Thank's,,When I tried to upgrade the pick ups,,I ended up going back to the originals and having the pole pieces reversed to cancel hum in positions 2 and 4 it's an excellent sounding guitar.. I love The original pick ups.

The Marshall is a 1980 JMP 2104 Master Volume 2x12 50 watt combo.Basically a 50 watt JMP head with two Celestion 65 blackbacks. In combo form...It's much bigger than it looks in the photo..Strange that.It weighs a ton..

nice gear. looks like a great audio system too.

what's the problem with the fender amp? lately i have been hearing some not-so-good things about some of the fenders. doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy one.

Nice collection, welcome to the forum.

How do you find bare knuckles compared to the burstbuckers I am assuming you had in that LP?

The Turntable is a Michell Mycro With a Rega RB 250 tone arm..

Image

The grey cable on the floor also leads to a Thorens TD 160 mk 2 with a Hadcock GH220 tone arm..

Image

IN reserve I have...

a Systemdek 11X with a SME 3S tone arm.

Image

And a trusty Dual CS 505 mk2 Deluxe..

Image

As You can probably gather I'm rather keen on Vinyl..

alot richer and better balance,I hated the Burstbuckers far too bright and scratchy with not alot of Mids..The neck Mule is Especially good..The bridge ended up being still too bright but I think it is a really bright Les Paul I have,,So it was Loaded down to 250 k on the pot..
It also has been reconfigured to 50s wiring with Paper in oil caps..
It sounds more like what I would consider the classic Les Paul to sound..
Think about the Beano album,,Crusade and A Hard Road in places..Possibly a touch hotter..
Alot better than the Burstbuckers but the bridge PU took some extreme tweaking to make work..The neck didn't..If I knew what I know now,, if I was using a LP for heavy rock..I would put a Seymour Jeff Beck in the Bridge but far away from the strings and a mule in the neck..If they hit it off OK as a pair..That would be a great combo..

Regards Goatbreath..

Welcome to the forums goatbreath, you've got some beautiful guitars there. You're right about this place, it's got to be the best guitar forum on the net. The posters are friendly, and give advice freely. The Fender forums Scottish division is getting bigger by the day, that's us got three members now
