This may have been discussed before but I couldn't find anything on the forums about it.

How many of you play necks with heavy rolled fingerboard edges vs medium rolled? How do basic Fender necks like on a Highway One or Am Std come from the factory: medium or heavy rolled? What are the drawbacks or positives of a heavy rolled fingerboard edge?

Hi BCB: I can't think of a drawback. I love those rolled fingerboard edges! One of the really significant extra features of a Fender from Corona, to my mind.

Go forth and enjoy - C

Thanks for the reply Ceri! I was asking because the custom neck I ordered for my "Dreamcaster" build has heavy rolled fingerboard edges and I wasn't sure what to expect. BUT, I got my neck from Musikraft today and it is PERFECT!

Super flamed maple, 21 jumbo frets, 1 11/16 nut, 9.5 radius, dual acting truss rod at base of neck, Tusq nut. Dude the flame on it is real sick even before I've had it sprayed so I can't wait to see how it turns out after tinting. Fret work is perfectly done as well.

Check in the Tele section later I am going to start a topic with pics of the body, neck and hardware and will update it as it progresses.
