I have the Digitech jamMan looper.. I love the thing i spend hours with this little guy.. have had it a few years and use it all the time and learn something new on it every time i play with it... with some practice this rig is great onstage as it is at home and in recording situations.... there are cheaper loopers out there but this one seem to do everything short of a rack looper for not much more money than the cheaper ones....i played with many different loopers when i was shopping and this one spoke to me with all the features and quality of playback..... I have recently started using it in my fx loop of my amp and it works much better than in front as I don’t have to worry about my gain stages changing (if i record rhythm clean and then want to put some dirt on my leads)........ cant recommend this one enough...and there 200 bucks cheaper than when i got mine cux they put a new one out recently

Thank you both for posting the thread about loopers as I am curious and for the post and links about them. The digitech does appear to be a good purchase.

There's one built into my Korg PX5D, but I've never used it.

Check out how Bill Frisell uses his at just past halfway here :

Oh yeah! I guess I must be some kind of a geek, because I knew who Bill Frisell was and had seen the youtube vid before. There was a discussion about the foil-top pickup he has in the Tele neck position. I hear the Korg at about 6 minutes forward.

I've just bought exactly the same one... got it Thursday from eBay... fantastic pedal, sounds great and very easy to use.

Hi Gang,
Thanks for all the replies. I think when I do buy one it will be the Digitech... I put off the looper project to buy a BBE Sonic Stomp (see other post) In the mean time Im just looping my own stuff though Logic express, to make my own backing tracks. Not as handy as a looper but it does work

I use a digitec jamman, nice and easy to use, great for practicing with tracks.
there is a new stereo jamman now, seems a little nicer, also has software for organizing tracks on your computer. you can find inof over on the digitec forums....

Bill,
I've been waiting for the new DigiTech pedals, and recently discovered the Tascam DP 004 Digital 4 track recorder. My thinking is with the G-Dec 30 I can use a different amp setting on each track. Not sure the loopers would do that.
My 2 cents worth,
John.E

sure it can. loop with one setting as a base, then layer with different settings per layer there after.
