Yeah, The Sheraton is nice, I would definitely recommend one of those. Beautiful guitar. The Casino is nice too. Epiphone makes some nice semi hollow bodies. I am still saving my $2500 to get a Gibson ES 335. They Cover a lot of ground. 335 and a Strat should cover it for me. 8) and pbassbob, you definitely Scored on that deal. I had to shell out another $90. for the case.

I own a Washburn HB30. Nice guitar too. I changed out the pups from stock to Seymore Duncans - Pearly Gates in the bridge and an Alnico Pro in the neck.........sound buttery now.......with a bit of Pearly Gates bite for the blues....

Did The Salesman talk you into that? those are cool guitars. Happy Jamming. As for if you went wrong..... Does it hurt too much when you carry that light wallet around? Well what kind of Charvel is it anyway?, SoCal??. I wouldn't mind having one .

Lol that was an interesting turn of events..

I'd much rather have a Highway 1 than a Dot but the Dot is like half the price..

Hi Way Cool, you'd be much better off waiting for the standard Dot,it's a much more versatile guitar as you have separate tone and volume controls for each pup as well the Alnico V pups look much better-IMHO- than the open coil and the finishes are far superior to the faded-which is the $hit$ as far as I'm concerned.I would imagine that the standard Dot is much better made than the Studio as the Studio is marketed as a more or less economy version.BTW the pups in The Elitist Dot and the Lucille are true Gibson pups.

hey what can i say?
im a metal head at heart so it only made sense for me to
jump at the opportunity to get the charvel.
the charvel is a H S/S configuration w/jackson knife edge trem.
i beat the hell out of that trem and the strings didnt slip at all.
love it. played it for an hour or so.
fun to have all the kids around watching some of the
"old school metal" being played lol (from somebody who lived it)
i dont know what kind of charvel it is to be honest.
its not original by any means. i like it that the pickup actually mount to the body and not a pickguard.

ok the highway1 was a no brainer. ive always wanted to play one.
never got the opportunity. i saw it, played it, bought it. it was that simple.
we just dont see them out here. if one doeshit the rack its gone in minutes.
i got there at the very right time. one of the sales guys i deal with caught me one the way in and said "dude, we got 1". i flipped.
i stole it honestly. its a special deal my store has/had (lol) coming up
soon. the price was $150 more than a DOT.
you good people do the math on that one.
i did take a pic at the store though. crappy pic but i'll post it when i ge back in a few. you cant really tell anything but the fact im holding my two newest members of the house of shred.
thats 5 guitars this yr so far. still a good ways away from my record.
