Just thought I'd let you know about my new pedal. I just tried out my Danelectro Cool Cat Tremolo and I can honestly say for £32.00 it is by far the best value for money pedal I have ever played. I play in a covers band and wanted a Tremolo pedal to use on The Smiths 'How soon is now'. I cheCKed out reviews online and everything seemed to point to this pedal. It gives a VERY nice Fender tremolo sound which is exactly what I was after. I HIGHLY recomend this pedal and hope to try a few more of the Cool Cat range. 5/5

My favorite set-up is:
Boss TU-2 Tuner
Ibanez Phaser
Boss Blues Driver
Dunlop Crybaby
Peavey Classic 30

And I really don't need anything else.

It always suprised me that Fender produced a fuzz pedal, but didn't put out a tremolo or reverb pedal in their own right. I know they did the boss amp modeller thing. Their the two effects that Fender are synonymous with. Forget Alesis, when I want reverb, I think Fender. When I want tremolo I think Johnny Guitar or My Baby Shot Me Down sounds. I don't want a reverb that is a amp modeller too. I just want one to sit in my pedal chain that says Fender on it and sounds a bit like a twin's reverb. Same with the tremolo effect. As few controls as possible too. Depth and speed for both.

Hey nikininja, I really do think you'lll like the Danelectro Tremolo. I looked for a Fender Trem pedal too. I thnk this is the closest we're gonna get. Just because it doesn't have Fender written on it and doesn't cost £150.00 doesn't mean it's not any good. Try one if you can and you'll see what I mean.

Mr Pink, I rarely take price as a factor when chosing gear, whether something be expensive or cheap. I already use a couple of Dan'o pedals, the eq and the compressor. To say that I'm impressed is a understatement. I've also a somewhat rare Boss EQ20, 10 band eq. Aside from the boost/cut range and memory, the Dan'o outperforms it. When the sliders are center and the pedal on, it's as near a unaffected signal as I've heard from any eq.
But thats hardly the point of a eq control is it? Just one of the many things I nitpick over with pedals. I used to have their octave down distortion too, that was a interesting effect. Especialy on bass.

Anyways wait till you see the idea for a lo-fi distortion/pitchshift pedal I'm cooking up.
