Or a handful of picks.
Like I said before, get rid of it before the "New and Improved" Hot Rod series hits the streets which I'm sure will be very soon. http://www.worldmusicsupply.com/Fender- ... e-III.html

For everyone who said there was nothing wrong with these amps here ya go. Someone mentioned on another forum that the board is a little thicker too. Seems like a lot of trouble for a great amp huh? Anyway next generation is hitting the streets soon. Some of the problems were addressed like the linear taper pots, but they seem to have not addressed the heat related issues directly like the 5 watt resistors and the poorly mounted tube on the PCB sockets or the cheesy plastic jacks. Only time will tell.

Here's the thicker board link. An interesting read for anyone who looks at things with an open mind and open eyes.

The value of you amp will drop like a stone just like the GDecs did when the 3's came out. Now I'm stuck with a worthless weird sounding practice amp. I'm thinking about gutting the GDec and fitting something else in there.

Some interesting reading 63supro. Thanks for the links. If I owned one I'd take your advise.

There's no such thing as seller's remorse for selling a HotRod Deluxe if you use the money to buy a DRRI or some other REAL amp.

I use a '64 Vibroverb Custom now so my amp needs are well taken care of. :D

So what's the problem with selling the HRDlx?

My seller's remorse comes from parting ways with a '65 Strat and later on a late '60s Marshall 50w 2X12 amp.....yep....sick.

I have some regrets about my SF amps, Bandmaster, Deluxe Reverb, and just recently my Twin, a couple of Ampegs and Silvertones too though I still have visitation rights to the Twin. :D

Sell it. Buy something you can't put down, (or turn off).

LOL I just get the feeling that as soon as I sell it I'll find a use for it. My daughter likes to sing so she can plug a mic into it. When my buddy comes over he doesn't have to lug around his amp. Yada yada yada.

Thanks for sharing this link! Now I know of Kirk Fletcher, man can this guy play! I gotta go check him out.

Hey VB, here's what you should do, keep the HRD and send me the VV Custom, you don't need both :D
