rose if price... few years back it was 349.99 now everywhere i go it is 499.99$ anybody know why that is... i guess its not that weird that they rose in price is it becasue they know use better products or is it because it just rose it price.... my lone star strat also rose 100$ in price any ideas?

Along with inflation, popularity of the species as a whole and the significant price differential vs. its American counterpart all factor in as well. And let's not forget, there are many more tinkerers nowadays who buy the MIMs so they can immediately "upgrade" them per their own desires whereas said tinkerers as a majority are too intimidated or feel it should be unnecessary to do the same with an American model. Or, like a boss I had years ago used to say ad-nauseum: "Two little rips are better than one big one; it is whatever the market will bear."
