of course you are. its never ending.
ive been playing around on a site for a couple months now.
so last night i figured i would pay for 1 month just to see what was going on.
theres tons of stuff a nonpay member cant see.
so i figured i would drop my $14.95 for 1 month just to see whats
on the site in full.
man i was shocked. couldnt believe the instructors they have on here.
yes tons of it i already know, but ive stumbled on some things i had forgotten, a few different ways at looking at what i already know, and theres bunches i dont know. what i thought might be a total waste of money has infact been worth the dime.
if your just getting started, or seasoned, theres something for you on this site that will make it worth your cash flow.
these guys know what they are doing when it comes to playing, and even more so when it comes to teaching it to you. check them out at

www.guitartricks.com

I never fancied paying. I've always been good with my ear and love challenging myself that way.
No guitarist ever stops learning unless they die. We just have different methods of doing things.

Cheers guys,

CC

randy rhoades took lessions up until the day he died.
he believed that you could learn something faster if somebody showed it to you rather than the time it takes to learn it on your own and maybe be wrong on your won.
i believe that. guidence is a good thing.
teaching ourselves might be he reason why so many people are so far behind when it comes to knowlege VS the amount of time one has been playing, or why folks get into a rut and find themselves playing the same things over and over day in and day out yr after yr.
as for me, i seek knowlege from everywhere, books, people, videos, cd's,
as many places as possible. if you can learn one thing off that site its worth your $14 right?
anyways, theres more to this site than the instructors and their teaching.

Thats true that even if you learn one thing its definitely worth your 14 bucks.

I'm just very lucky I guess that I'm surrounded by good guitar players day in, day out and I'm always learning off those guys. I think every guitarist worth his salt has the hunger to learn. You have to. Playing in 3 bands, a rock band, a blues band and a latin music band sure keeps me on my toes in terms of learning new things.

The internet is a godsend for guitar players too. If I'm ever stuck with anything theres always a guy on youtube who can show me how. I would have killed for that when I was younger.

With close to 1200 posts in less than 3 months you'd probably benefit more by spending less time on the computer.

way cool, i haven't even clicked on the link yet but i have been stuck in the same boring, stale rut for years. scales do very little for me because i have trouble linking together melodic runs and licks. like nevin, i have never had a lesson. i'm pretty fast but thats because i grew up playing speed metal. i care nothing about being a "fast" lead guitar player. i want my solos to sing and right now they just cough and sputter. i couldn't play the same solo twice if you gave me a million bucks. i'm going to check it out now.

im not comfortable specificly going to a guitar teachers room and having them force me to learn songs at there own pace. so im pretty much self taught.

im just swinging trough the blues one right now. i'll go back and study the parts i need.
you will run through and find things you already know, but you can skip around and find the lessons you need. its a very cool site.
check out the tool box as well.

Easy as pie my friend. Rehearsals are during the day and the shows or recording sessions are usually at night. The rock band is my main band, I just 'work' for the other 2 really.
