I posted previously about being able to slow down MP3's using Windows Media Player and in the process I found out that you can save snippets of the file also. All computers with Windows come with Movie Maker which will edit the files.

So, my example. Working on the Secret Agent Man solo, I can cut out just that part of the song using Windows Movie Maker, save the file as just the solo, and play it back at half speed or whatever speed I want on the computer. With Media Player set on repeat the solo runs over and over again and I never have to touch the mouse or even look at the computer. How spoiled is that? And do I now have absolutely no excuse for not mastering that solo?

I feel spoiled with all the technology available but at age 51 and just starting out, I'll use it with no shame.
