It's from an event from the 80's called BB King and friends, lots of guests, including Clapton, I would get a copy.

 sorry Dave, it took me an hour to notice "blues" in the subject line

this link can also be a choice for "the best live blues", another thread recently. For me this pre-dates the great Allman Bros Fillmore recordings,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXqxXrjoOf0 ,
I couldn't find the lyrics, but you can hear him call out to the great bluesmen how he was born on the blue-est night, the moon was a fiery red and the beasts of the earth greeted his arrival with the loudest most musical hummingbird to play and play and sing he did.

It's weird, I can only handle Hendrix doing Blues for about 30 secs, for whatever reason it doesn't work for me...

I think it's time for the master of the telecaster :)

Unfortunately I don't have any links to my newfound slide virtuoso-new to me anyway-Hound Dog Taylor but he's an absolute must to check out. Words alone can't describe this man's ability-and of course Muddy Waters Mannish Boy is one of the most incredible songs ever written-that's one song that could even get a cadaver's Mojo workin'.

Check out the song "Gangster of Love" also. I always liked Johnny Guitar Watson. I just thought he was a little off the beaten path. Great Talent!
