Little Feat is one of my favorite bands. I saw them with Lowell George.

...listened to Dixie Chicken last night.

There’s a great story in the Feats Box set about how Warners put them up in a old movie stars mansion and they were living on baked beans.

Richie was an angry young man and one night tried to kick in the facade over the main fire place.
They had to hold him down and then next day left the hacienda and hit the road.

While on the tour bus, they heard the news that the wreckers of the mansion found 3 million dollars secreted in the fire place, Richie had been restrained from kicking in.

Love ya' Rich - - Ya' showed me the true way.....Never play it the same way twice!

Yeah it's sad. Too bad many of the younger forum gang never got to hear this band (with Lowell George or without).

Richie Hayward will be sorely missed. Great Drummer from one of the Greatest Rock Bands of all time. I saw Richie and the gang several times over the last few years, they were still "The Best" jam band on the planet.

R.I.P.

RIP Richie!

I saw Little Feat 3 times and I am so glad I last summer took my then 13 year old son to see them... at first he didn´t want to... said it was "music for old folks".
He stood a couple of meters behind me looking grumpy... but after a while he came up to me and said...

"it ain´t too bad dad... I guess I must have a little old man inside of me too..."

This is a sad day.
