Busted  Man I am not smart enough to ask questions. $@!& all I wanted to do was play a song all the way through and get.....I was 13 then now 37 and never have put it totally away and I ended up loving to play guitar more than well almost more than well......ya know. I play it but I don't know what how or why. It feels great to "jam". I have been playing ALONE to myself so long that well...ya know.

Why I was lurking?
1) I have an old Strat L67892 that belongs to the old mon that I am picking on right now. I put new Ernie Ball regular strings on it and right now I'm about ready to throw the....I'm am not a virtuoso but usually have no problems tuning good enough to play but this has gotten out of hand partner! Basically reading up on setting up. What I 'm getting out of it so far I give it a standardized tuning and then check each at the 12th fret. If its higher I should loosen the screw in the bottom (so iggy I don't know the parts) lower I should tighten. I have screw driver in hand but that's it no other tools. The neck maybe too straight from my view but that's me.

2) Last week I went to a music store just killing time before my lawyers appointment. I picked up a Aerodyne it was 775 bucks with tax. I liked it for no in particular reason. I didn't plug it in or anything. It felt good and it fit me or so I think. I almost put it on the ole credit card but I withstood the impulsive urges in order to do more research. I am currently at work and this computer / network / connection is too slow for you tube so that is out of the question. Besides the typical reviews I haven't found anything that says this is a Good or Bad guitar. I used to play an old standard Les Paul (uncle's who had pops strat for 20 yrs) before I got the my hands on the Strat. This kinda of felt in between Les Paul and the Strat???

Its not that big of a deal. I felt compelled to jump in because I was lurking. The reason I was in here were 1) the old guitar and 2) the new one i was thinking of purchasing. The other is nothing but my poor attempt at poking fun at myself. Think that is hard to follow? You should sit with me, myself, and I sometime. :)

Welcome rebeav, judging by the serial number that old Strat is most likely an early 65 or late 64,mine is L683...and was made 2nd week Feb 65. Areodynes are absolutely beautiful,I love the natural finish ones. Anyway come on lurkers, jump in,the water's great lol.

I guess I'm not that shy, I jumped on in. Lots of great info and cool people on here. I check this site way too much because of it.
