i just bought a 2001 green squire affinity for my son and i to play with I have done some research and can not find any info about squire having made a dark green model can anyone help me

They did a British racing green stratocaster for Squier's anniversary in 2002. It could have very well been a 2002 anniversary strat built in 2001. But, more than likely, it might be that sherwood forest green. In which case, I think they made some green ones for the affinity starter pack at some point. I'm sure asking in the Squier forum would net you better answers.
