So yesterday, CS guys sans Mike Eldred visited Toronto. It was an interesting event a lot of Fender fanatics in store. Was hoping to meet Mike as he has therock star status here in Toronto but unfortunately did not happen. Nevertheless, Chris, Joe and Paul (their "youngest" master builder) were there to provide a lot of useful information and tips.

So guys if you are going MasterBuilt his name is Paul Weller and his MBs are starting with low serial numbers, hint hint. Also he wounds some killer pickups.

CS please release "Weller" pickups.

I wish they brought greater variety of guitars. There were around 15 CS models including Teles and Strats but did not have a 59 and 63 Strat which I wished to see to get a feel.

I almost purchased a CS 65 strat on the spot they had two of them one MasterBuilt and one team. Team built sounded and felt better for me but still had slimmer neck than I like. I am going to wait to get a quote for the CS 63 with the modified Tele (profile) neck.

That's it signing off

I have an original 65 Strat and the slim neck was what really sold me on it. I think that the L series (62-65)Strats were the best playing and sounding ones made,if I were ever to get a Custom Shop or Masterbilt Strat it would be a 65 with Abby wound pups.I never checked to see who wound the pups on my 65,it would be interesting to see if they are Abbys, I know that they sound incredible.

You know-- I'm still cheezed I missed this. I left work 10mins early even, I got so excited, but thanks to the good 'ol TTC and the ever-reliable Warden bus, I wasn't even on the right side of town until 7:45... 15 minutes before thing was over, so I didn't go.

I'm glad someone at least posted a report to satisfy my curiosity. Have a spankin' new CS guitar in my possession, I was really hoping to gain more insight into CS guitars there.
