Bob Dylan wanted to call the song "Knockin' On Nevin's Door", but Nevin refused him the right to use his name.

Nevin's exact words were, "Bobby, you're a pretty decent wordsmith and you're fairly well-known, but I'm not going to allow you to tarnish my fame and good name in this way. Re-write the song, Bob."

Five out of seven women get weak in the knees at the mere mention of Nevin's name. The other two just faint straightaway.

Police often question Nevin, just because they find him interesting

When it comes to solving advanced spatial dimensional geometric equations, Nevin eats Pi for dessert.

I feel I must interject here Nutter............Stairway to Nevin was only ever played once.....by Nevin himself.........and then forgotten by everyone else that heard it...........one of those that heard it was a certain young Mr Page, who upon hearing this piece of utter genius spent the next few years trying to remember it. He tried several bands of accomplished musicians to see if he could be inspired enough to recall and copy the licks and progressions that Nevin had improvised off the cuff that hallowed night but never came close. This is also the reason for his fascination in the occult and why he bought a certain Mr Crowley's house inNorthern Scotland to try and raise demons to protect him while he whiled away hours, days, months and years sacrificing and praying to the powers that be to give him some insight to the breathtaking, overwhelming, brain-collapsing playing of Nevin but, unfortunately nothing............ until he found three like-minded individuals that could help him.

Messrs PLant, Jones, Bonham and PAge tried on several occasions to find the Holy Grail of guitar tunes but, ultimately, It wasn't to be so they penned a tribute to the tune in an attempt to keep sane. This tribute, as Jack Black says, sounded nothing like the original song but the song was so good a tribute had to be made...................thus we find the original, underlying, hidden meaning behind Tenacious D's existence as well as Led Zepellin................

These kids playing Stairway to Heaven have no idea that if they were to stumble across any part of the original piece that inspired this rather insipid, child-like, poor attempt at Nevin worship they would quite simply combust instantly leaving only their eyebrows sitting on a charred pick next to a personal note from Nevin saying, 'these few hairs are all that is left of a kid who no longer exists in your memories and now never was....................bring me a curvy redhead as an apology.........'

Nevin went to the zoo, only to have the animals observe him.

This story is false, because Nevin doesn't need LSD. LSD is made from Nevins bodily fluid, what kind of fluid is a mystery.

Nevin only works in a hospital and on his farm in order to keep himself "humble..."

However, the plan backfired, because those are now the two most-sought-after professions in all of Canada.
