Most Fender amps built after 1969.

The fender pedal tuner. The one I had, wasn't as accurate as other tuners I've had. I ended up giving it away and replacing it with the Boss TU-2, which I fell in love with.

I have to agree with you on that one. I was always breaking the #1 and #3 strings maybe up to three times in a jam session, and I don't play hard. Other people were getting annoyed when they always had to stop while I put on a new string. And........I got tired of having to break up a whole set, just for the string that broke. I switched brands (D'Addario) and never broke a string again.

any and all of their plywood acoustics (pretty much 90% of 'em) and a lot of their accessories - they all promise much and deliver little like a pretty airhead girl on a Friday night out - great to look at but useless for anything else...

I can't see how anyone could find a Strat uncomfortable to play when even the slab body Teles,Mustangs and Duo-Sonics are comfortable -at least for me-the Strat with the body contours is just about the most ergonomically designed guitar around,if a Strat is uncomfortable a Tele or Mustang must be murder for you.Having said that my least favourite Fender products are the Uglier than sin Jagstang and I don't like the Jaguars with 2 humbuckers-humbuckers just don't belong on a Jag or Strat for that matter-I'm just old school I guess.Fender celluloid picks are flimsy shite.

Anyone saying that a Strat is uncomfortable has either never played one, or has a deformed body! Seriously, the damn thing is shaped to your body! When I'm uncomfortable just sitting there alone, I pick up a Strat just to GET comfortable! I can literally play the thing all day without any pain! Fender products I don't use: PICKS & CABLES! I use Dunlop Tortex 1.14 mm purple picks, (they feel sooo good and last long & their material has a very good grip on the strings so I have complete control of my playing!) And for cables I usually use Monster cables.

One other complaint is some of the guitars and basses don't come with a hardshell case.

Is Ernie Ball owned by fender?

Nah. Leo Fender and a couple other fellas did design the Stingray during Leo's run with the Music Man company though.

G&L was another company owned by Leo. The guy stayed pretty busy paving the way.

Maybe Fender should buy Ernie Ball. (They own almost everyone else now anyway.)

Then they might as well buy Gibson, then they will have no competitors and take over the guitar world!!! Muahahahaha

I do not care for Fender picks and Cords. I love the regular bullets. I use them on all my Fender guitars. I have never had a Fender Bullet string break in the last 5 years. I also like the D'Addario strings, but prefer bullets on my Fender guitars. I do not like the fender pedals, but have played on worse.

My least favorite Fender product was an old Squire Strat that I found at a thrift shop. When I would bend a string upwards around the fifth fret, the string would jump out its slot in the nut. I ended up giving it to somebody who planned to use it as a slide guitar.

Actually there's more to it than that. Leo founded Music Man. I forget the circumstances on why he left Music Man. Then in 1976 CLF Resources (Clarence Leo Fender) began making guitars and basses for Music Man but that partnership was disolved two or three years later due to non-payment according to their contract. Music Man's reason for not paying was poor craftsmanship, mostly to do with substandard paint and finishes. It was not exactly a high point in Leo's career. It was then that Leo formed a new partnership under the name of G&L. That was around 1980 or 1981 or so.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Supersonic amps. I really want to like them, I want a pro quality Fender amp with great tube tone on a clean and dirty channel, with separate tone and vol for each, with a ragged, dirty, tweedy kinda overdrive.... And the SS should be it, but it just isn't. Just doesn't sound good enough on the dirt. They promise to be an ideal modern amp, so they disappoint so much more.
