1. Record the album that's inside of me . . . somewhere;

2. Attend the Oktoberfest in Munich with my brother;

3. Take a Blues trip from Memphis to the delta and back again;

4. Attend a game at the new Yankee Stadium.

1. Meet my next girlfriend.

2. Make a few more albums...

3. Go back to Barcelona at least once.

4. Tool across the US in a crappy old car seeing kick-ass blues bands all round the south, and visit my friends on the Rez.

5. Own a house.

Number 5 is the only one that seems seriously impossible, I'm sure the others will all happen:)

Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer venues to see kick-$@! blues bands ANYWHERE in the States, especially here around the Town Of The Cow (Fort Worth, Texas)...we need another injection of excitement (a la SRV & DT or the Fabulous Thunderbirds) very soon...and it's not gonna get here until everyone quits imitating SRV and starts something new in blues!

I am 51 years old and I buy my gear with my grandson in mind. He will inherit my Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus (hopefully greatly played but still in great condition), my Carvin California Carved Top (played to death but hopefully still in good condition) and the rest of my expanding collection of gear that I adopt, with the fervent hope that he play the instruments like there is ABSOLUTELY NO TOMORROW. Except for my beloved Filipina wife, nothing else has given me joy like playing music. I can only hope that he will find the same joy (both in family and music).

you sound like me! i am 56, and still practice every day. i jam with friends, and fill in when a buddy's band is short a guitar player. i don't think it's possible for someone who doesn't play to know how much fun we have.

Learn to play Little Wing (srv's version)

Build a custom car and motorcycle

Take my wife to Rome

Go the Crossroads festival with my son

Walk my daughter down the aisle (ugh)

Fly in an old seaplane and land in the water.

It's the whole her getting married part, she's 12 right now. just don't want her growing up so fast. I know I can't stop it though.

A friend of mine put it best (he has 3 girls), he said "Remember one day your daughter will meet a guy who will want her to do all the things you wife does to you. So the next time you see your Father-in-law just say your sorry, he will ask why and your reply will you don't want to know but I'm sorry, He'll understand." That's where the UGH comes in. Other than that I could imagine it being almost a special as the day she was born.

Easy, just come on Monday night at 8 for the blues jam. :) You never know who's going to show up. Hubert Sumlin, Bob Margolin and Pinetop Perkins walked in about fifteen minutes before my set. :shock:

I'm not sure if I'm even old enough to have a bucket list, but if I did I'd like to jam with some of my favorite blues artists who are still alive. Jimmie Vaughan especially. :D
