I've always loved the sound of a guitar...

Doesn't matter if it's acoustic or electric.

2 of my cousins and my Uncle have played since I can remember and for whatever reason I just never got into it. Always loved listening to them jam but never really picked it up myself.

But now I know, this is just one of the many ways to help get the ladies in the mood.

I can't wait to start learning and making some sensual music!

Figured I'd just make my first post about my excitement.

Hi super_joey, welcome to the Forum.

It has always been my experience that I have only to pick up a guitar and start strumming and the girls immediately want to tear their clothes off and throw themselves at me.

Actually, that has never been my experience - but it's a nice dream. 8)

Whatever it takes to get us practicing the guitar...

Cheers - C

Hello and Welcome!

Playing guitar is only 50% of whats required to charm the ladies...having Big Hair makes up the rest :D

See, this is why I waste time on the Fender Forum. The stuff you can learn! :D

(How glad I am I didn't take up the bass!)

Yes, It's great to pick up the ladies when your in a band, But don't make the mistake of making one of those one night stands your girlfriend. because they love the fact that you play an instrument but after some time (usually a couple of months) They change their minds about that and you'll start hearing things like " is that guitar all you think about?" and "I wish you hold me as much as you hold that guitar" and "I'm so sick of watching you play that thing" so just be prepared to tell her that "It's the only thing that gives me pleasure without a bunch of backtalk!" So if you use the guitar to pick up women, They will feel like they are competing with it in the end. and my guitar always won out for me.

Hi Keri90,

Welcome to the forum!

Its good to have that statement confirmed :D

Unfortunately my hair is not quite as big as it once was.. :( But it served me well up until these last couple of years.

Enjoy!

Two things.

Keri90: you have the same name as me, 'cept you're a girl and I'm a fella. See where this is going? :D Uh-uh: Mrs C is a jelous lady...

Andy: sooner or later we're perhaps going to get to see this big hair of yours. All I'm saying is; you'd better look like the whole of Motley Crue all rolled into one or a lot of people are going to be very disappointed... (We're still trying to get over the fact that ZZDoc in fact does not sport a teacozy hat and a two foot beard. )

Cheers - C
