i am lacking instruments (and people for a band) so i am a one man show (if i was playing any shows that is  ) but as for what i play it ranges:

some jewel (it keeps my mom happy)
foo fighters (i've had a slight foo obsession lately  )
rhcp
led zeppelin
nirvana
anything grunge or classic rock
a little contemporary rock
some classic punk
but lately i've mostly been writing my own songs (or at least trying)
i've been trying out a little bit of southern rock also

Reggae, Ska, Punk, some Hawaiian-esqe stuff, and I mix a little surf flair in each.

Marley, Sublime, Ramones, Pepper, Ventures... and similar artists to those.

well i havent been playing very long, but i like to give it a go at stuff like pink floyd, hendrix, SRV, led zep, dire straits... but i usually just end up just learning the riffs and not the entire song... but now iam dead-set on learning the stairway to heaven solo, and i discovered it aint that hard... been on it for two days now, and i can play like half of it... just took alot of playing-along-to :D

As my forum name describes I like to play a lot of Grunge music like Nirvana and Mudhoney with my band. I also like a lot of stuff like Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr., They are some of my favorite bands and they also have amazing guitarists!

I have told this story before, and I feel that I need to repeat it. I was in a band with three of my friends. We had two guitars, drums, and bass. Our bass player didn't want to play what everyone else wanted, so we kicked him out. We never truly recruited a new bassist, but we all switched off instruments (I was the only one who didn't play drums). We practiced maybe once a month, if that, and by our second gig, Boliver Shagnasty and the Bass-Ackward Five (wow, I can't belive I remember that name...) were no more. Our lead singer was a dictator, we played only what he wanted, and he even changed the setlist thirty minutes before the show. I haven't been in a band since, and I don't know if I really want another one for a while (or ever...).

Yeah, not my favorite memory...
