I want to replace my maple neck on my '84 Strat with a rosewood neck. I'm being told I cannot get a Fender ID'ed neck. The only way to get an ID'ed neck is to send in the old one and they will send me a replacement neck. I would do this in a heart beat but will only replace with a maple neck like the one I send in.

Anybody?

Or you could put it up on Craigslist for trade. I think people prefer maple so you would probably get some offers. Won't be from the same year I'm sure, but you should be able to get something.
