i met a guy off craigslist who has a players deluxe for sell.
ok so i went over to look at the guitar.
holy smoke, this guy has everything.
there was 3 or 4 twin reverbs setting there, 5 65 blk face bassmans,
showmans, sonic's, so much stuff i forget most of it. docZ amps.
it was crazy. i was in a heaven i didnt know existed.
there was PA gear, 4x12's, 2x15's, 4x10's, you name it.
then there was all the rack effects, stomp box's, just everything.
over 40 guitars to try out on any combo my heart desired.
then i got to go to the workshop area where amps are modded and or rebuilt. ok ok so i got to play the deluxe. i wasnt to impressed with it.
i might look for others or write it off and lean towards a HW1.
so the good news is the guy offered to retube and bias my old carvin heads at total cost. he said that he does it as a hobby, not to make money on. now how damn cool is that right.
some of the amps he has hes had to bebuild the cabinets on.
he does great work. then he recovers them.
he offered me a 1965 blk face bassman, great shape, for $600 for the head. i honestly cant tell you if thats a good deal or not. is it?
im going back over next sunday/monday to drop off head #1 to get
tuned up. i'll be taking one of my guitars over then to try out the bassman
with my own gear. should be fun. i just cant explain to you guys how many vintage amps were setting there for me to play with.
the guitars were cool as well. plenty to choose from too.
even several partscasters that were really tricked out as far as wiring goes. it was crazy guys, just crazy.

Sweet amps Arjay, real audio Heaven no doubt.Way Cool $600 for a Blackface Bassman is a steal,I wouldn't let my 68 go for that and it's not near as desirable.

Thanks, GS.

Here's a few of my "little" amps......

Image

The Princeton Reverb is an original from 1965 while the others are "one-off" conversions that I built.

Not shown is a cute-as-a-button '67 Bronco that I recently scored.

i was wondering if it was a good deal or not.
hes got like 5 or 6 of them just setting.
said he would sell me a 4x12, 2x12,or whatever my heart desires to go with it if i needed it. i just dont know these amps very well to know whats what or what would be the best choice.
