so over the months I've discovered a lot of good music from bands new and old. I figured I'd share my experiences with you....

1.) a band from the 90s called Fastball, i recently got their album "All The Pain Money Can Buy" very good album. Guitar is good, lyrics are good, all around awesome

2.) Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants, look them up. They're a solo project from the guitarist of the Foo Fighters. Who knew he could sing? Solid Americana music and awesome lyrics. Their self titled album came out a few weeks ago. Definitely an album to have in your cd collection

3.) Rufus Wainwright....have you heard the vocals on this guy? Oh my God, his cover of Across the Universe was amazing! I highly recommend his album "Poses" all around beautiful piece of music. Think Jeff Buckley with piano.

Let me know what you guys think if you decide to give any of my suggestions a listen

Howdy.

I am not a fast ball fan but will be checking out the dead peasants thing for sure.

I suggest you get Gin Blossoms "New Miserable Experience" or their greatest hits.

Huey Lewis and the News "Sports" or "Picture This". "Fore" is pretty good too.

Oasis "Defintely Maybe".

Happy listening...

Rufus Wainwright is one of the best singer songwriters of our time.It was his cover of Across The Universe on the I am Sam soundtrack that brought him to my attention.Check out the job he and his good buddy Sean Lennon do on This Boy-written of course by Sean's Dad-it would bring out goosebumps on the Statue of Liberty. You can see it onYoutube.
