Rendezvous With the Blues - Jimmy Hall

Just got this in the mail from the Blues Foundation for renewing my membership. I confess I've never heard of Jimmy Hall before but the CD is pretty good so far.

Jimmy Hall was one of the founders and mainstays of Wet Willie. Great old blues band....

I'm still into this jazz based theme, I can't get enough of it lately, sitting on my patio in the morning, listening to this stuff really chills me out, it's got inside of me.
Today Chic Corea with ' Where Have I Known You Before ' and various others and while listening to them, got delivery of a cd by John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
That's for tomorrow. 8)

Savoy Brown -Raw Sienna-their best album as far as I'm concerned, Chris Youden is a great vocalist and blends well with Kim Simmonds' guitar work.

The Inner Mounting Flame - Mahavishnu Orchestra
All these kind of albums are almost worth buying just for the track titles.
eg.
Meeting Of The Spirits
A Lotus On Irish Streams
Vital Transformation
The Dance Of Maya

Some good tracks though with John McLaughlin on guitar, Jan Hammer on keys, great stuff. 8)

Thanks for the reminder on this one, it's going to the top of my 'to get' list.
