i'm something of an andy summers fan. i like his textures, i like also how he never seems to overplay - how he can take a snippet of a riff, repeat it & that becomes transmogrified into a symphony.
on the police album ghost in the machine he makes intersting use of the gr300 roland guitar synth along with more common guitar tones.
i'm listening right now to the last 3 tracks on that album omegaman, secret journey & darkness.
