Hey guys, for those who may be interested: founding member, former rhythm guitarist, singer and main songwriter of Guns N' Roses, Mr Izzy Stradlin has just released his 11th solo album through iTunes. The album is titled 'Wave of Heat' and features Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver and Ian McLagan of Faces fame as usual.

I won't spoil it for any of you but I will say this: It is far from what I expected but a genuine, pleasant surprise nonetheless. For you older geezers like my goodly self, you'll be able to hear welcome influences of quality bands from back in our heyday, some of which you may have totally forgotten about. None of the tracks on it are offensive to the ear either. This is surely worth a listen!

And of course, MANY thanks again to CC for turning me on to this entire album!!!

i've heard izzy has great tunes.

All of his albums (except one for some reason) are available to download on iTunes jeebus mate. Guys like Ronnie Wood, Marc Ford, Duff, Ian McLagan et al guesting and his main guitar partner throughoout is Rick Richards from The Georgia Satellites who is an amazing slide player!
Expect the odd Howlin Wolf, Toots and The Maytals and Chuck Berry covers among others too.
